Passeggiando per i vicoli di Acitrezza ammirerete la Chiesa madre di San Giovanni Battista, a cui e il 24 giungo è dedicata la tradizionale festa che comprende il rito propiziatorio "U pisci a mari". Alla fine di luglio lasciatevi inebriare dai sapori della sagra del pesce del Padellone, resterete rapiti da un momento singolare e divertente. Ad 1 km da Acitrezza si trova Aci Castello dove è possibile visitare un antico castello normanno costruito su un promontorio lavico a picco sul mare.
Il castello oggi è sede di un interessante museo.
Solo 35 minuti d'auto vi separano dalle zone circostanti al vulcano attivo più alto d'Europa. All' interno del Parco dell' Etna si alternano diversi tipi di paesaggi: estesi vigneti, folti boschi di faggi secolari, atmosfere lunari sui crateri delle cime. Un luogo avvolto dai racconti della mitologia greca e attraversato dalla sotterranea attività del vulcano, sede di rinomati impianti sciistici che danno la possibilità di scendere lungo le sue piste osservando il mare.

Infine, dedicate una mattina a Catania e lasciatevi coinvolgere dallo splendore barocco del Duomo e dei palazzi del centro storico. A Siracusa, una meta affascinante e ricca di interessanti monumenti, verrete invece conquistati dal Teatro greco, l' Anfiteatro romano e la sorprendente grotta artificiale detta l' Orecchio di Dionigi.
