Al BAD si respira tutto l'estro di Giulia e Alessandro, i due proprietari e curatori. Avvezzi alle fantasie del mondo della pubblicità e del graphic design, nelle ampie e confortevoli camere hanno saputo assemblare atmosfere diverse capaci di esibire psichedeliche carte da parati, chicche del 700 siciliano, pezzi di arredamento vintage e opere di giovani artisti. Ogni camera del Bed and Breakfast infatti, è uno stato d'animo, un colore, una sensazione: da due o tre letti, con bagno privato e, naturalmente, tutti i comfort.BAD. Perché non si vive solo per dormire. A Catania c’è il mare ma c’è anche l’Etna, il più alto vulcano d’Europa. C’è un ricchissimo centro storico barocco (patrimonio dell’umanità) ma anche aziende all’avanguardia nelle nuove tecnologie. C’è il rito del “seltz” ai tradizionali chioschetti, ma anche un’incredibile fiorire di nuovi locali, discoteche, wine bar. Alla splendida festa patronale di Sant’Agata si contrappone la “movida” notturna catanese, con migliaia di ragazzi che si riversano tutte le sere per strade e piazze. A Catania c’è l’incontro dei contrasti, che dà alla città un carattere unico, sempre in fermento, sempre in movimento. BAD è nel cuore pulsante di Catania: in una palazzina dell'800, accanto al mercato storico della Pescheria a due passi dal Duomo e dai principali monumenti della città. Inoltre è a pochi minuti dall’aeroporto, dalla stazione ferroviaria e dal porto e a 100 m da una stazione di autobus con collegamenti per le principali località siciliane. Le nostre camere sono tutte dotate di WC privato,TV, lettore DVD e CD, aria condizionata,riscaldamento e finestre insonorizzate. BAD dispone anche di un mini-appartamento di 45mq circa, con cucina attrezzata, bagno e un'ampia terrazza con vista Etna. Una Sala Relax con spazio espositivo è a disposizionedi tutti gli ospiti.

BAD is the first designer Bed & Breakfast in the heart of Catania. Much more than a simple b&b, it is a unique mix of hospitality and creativity, ideal for both those travelling for pleasure and for business. It unites the fascinating Catanese baroque architecture with contemporary art and design.
At BAD one breathes the creativity of Giulia and Alessandro, the two owners and curators. Professionals in the World of advertising and graphic design, they have expertly created within the ample and comfortable rooms different ambiences, exhibiting psychedelic wallpapers, amazing 19th Century Sicilian artifacts, vintage furniture and works of young aspiring artists. Every room of the b&b in fact has a different mood, colour and feeling, with two or three beds, private bathroom and naturally all the comforts you would expect.
Because BAD is more than a sleeping experience. Catania, situated on the edge of the glittering Meditteranean is also home to Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe. There is a very rich baroque historical center (world heritage) but also companies at the vanguard of innovative technology. There is the “seltz” ritual, to be experienced at the small kiosks and a blossoming of new clubs, discotheques and wine bars. In contrast with the wonderful feast of patron Sant’Agata there is a night “movida”, with many young people pouring into the streets and squares every night. Catania has a unique soul, always moving and bubbling, where contrasts blend together naturally. BAD is in the beating heart of Catania: in a XIX century building, next to the historical fish market “la Pescheria” and within a stone’s throw of the Cathedral and main monuments of the city. Furthermore BAD is only a few minutes away from the airport, the train station and the port, and just 100 meters from a bus station which connects to other main Sicilian resorts. Our rooms are all equipped with private bathroom, television, DVD and CD player, air conditioning, heating and soundproof windows.
